In conjunction with Episode 4 of the podcast, here is a list of items needed by female veterans experiencing homelessness in the United States. (Contact your local VA Health Clinic to learn about the specific needs of the food pantries serving veterans in your area).

  • Dental floss

  • Portable nail care kit

  • Q-tips

  • Sunscreen

  • Deodorant

  • Shampoo

  • Bodywash

  • Body Lotion

  • Body fragrance spray in small non-glass containers

  • Disposable face cloths

  • Feminine hygiene products, disposable

  • Leak-protection undergarments, disposable

  • Flip-flops

  • Socks

  • Underwear

  • Baseball cap (neutral logos)

  • Small (washable) mesh or clear plastic carry pouches


Food

  • Pouch tuna

  • Saltine and butter crackers

  • Granola and fruit bars

  • Peanut butter crackers

  • Individual packs of cereal, chips, cookies

  • Individual packs of pudding

  • Individual fruit cocktail cups

  • Chewing gum

  • Peppermint candies, hard and soft
